The most difficult decisions for an artist are to be made when contracts and conditions for a performance change. You have to choose either accepting or refusing. 

And the only way to make such decision is to check if those changes would damage your performance as an artist. If you cannot show off your best in a production because of sudden new conditions, better do not perform in it at all.
